A NEW BEGINNING

Topic: A NEW BEGINNING
Text:  2Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”

MESSAGE
God who has in the past spoken through His servants has by His Spirit declared this month as our month of a new beginning. However, you will agree with me that we cannot successfully talk of a new beginning without first mentioning the end of an old era. In other words, for every beginning there is an end. For instance, God had to first put an end to the void and shapeless era of the earth before introducing the new earth, Genesis 1.

“And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good...” Genesis 1:31

Hence, one thing you will note is that the new is always by far and incomparably much better than the old. The change will be visible to many. That is why I know that it’s your time to ascend heights untold because God has declared your new beginning. In the same vein, 2Corinthians 5:17 states;

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”

The above scripture defines your status when you receive such declaration as “a new beginning”; your status will change, old things will pass away and all things will obviously become new for you. Before I conclude, permit me to reflect on a few cases where God declared a new beginning in time past so as to give you a glimpse of what you should be expecting henceforth;

A. In John 8:1-11, a woman was caught in the very act of adultery (Prostitution) and was about to be stoned to death which was the penalty for her offence as at then but because God had her in mind to give her a glorious future, they dragged her to Jesus; by the time He was through questioning them there was no one left accusing her neither did He Himself. He gave her a new beginning and the result of that simple declaration “...Go and sin no more” is the reference we are making to her today thousands of years after because she eventually became one of the most effective Jesus’ female ministers.

B. In Luke 5:1-11 we’ll find the story of Peter, a fish businessman who had spent so much time toiling without any results to show for his effort. But when a new beginning was declared concerning his business as Jesus said “...Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught” he couldn’t handle the result alone so he had to beckon on partners. That is why I am so sure that somebody’s business is taking an international dimension by reason of this declaration of a new beginning in Jesus name.

C. In John 11 we’ll also find the case of Lazarus being recorded; how he got ill and died. Because of our limited space the Holy Spirit will be addressing so many cases with this point depending on how it applies to you. Lazarus was critically sick that they had to send for Jesus to come and heal him but Jesus was said to have stayed two more days before setting out but unfortunately as it were, Lazarus had died and buried for four days by the time Jesus arrived, you are familiar with the story. Jesus got there and declared a new beginning for Lazarus as He said “...Lazarus, come forth”. Your Lazarus is coming forth now. Permit me to say that Jesus actually waited for Lazarus to die so that He can do what no man could do. Now, regardless of how critical a state your personal or relative’s health, business, ministry, marriage, children, carrier, job etc is or are at the moment; a new beginning has been declared. And peradventure its or their state is as good as dead, because the God who has declared a new beginning is the one who knows no such thing as dead; it will be resolved in Jesus name.

Conclusively, if Lazarus and his two sisters had not had a relationship with the only one who declares authentic new beginnings they would have been doomed for life because scripture says they were Jesus’ friend. That is why I’ll admonish that you say the following prayer if you are not yet saved qualify for a new beginning as declared by God this season; "Lord Jesus, I acknowledge my state as a sinner, wash me in Your precious blood as I accept you as my Lord and personal Savior, Amen".  Your time wouldn’t pass you by in Jesus name. Congratulations and God bless as you celebrate an era of a new beginning.
